I got a pay rise today! It's my first since joining this company 18 months ago, so it was long overdue but the fact that it came in the first few weeks after the new boss arrived has given me a tiny glimmer of hope that this new guy will actually put his money where his mouth is.
The flipside is I also feel more motivated to work, so everybody wins!

Ok - you have to tell us what you did to get it. I don't think there's much I'm above at the moment.
Bastard. I wish some of that money would come over here. Oh wait no I mean kudos.
I was lucky enough to have my editor on my side - she'd been harrassing people about it for a few months now. She was also royally pissed off because she'd requested a Level 2 or 3 for my position and they'd given me - formerly a level 1 - the job without telling her.
